When you raise a concern or make a complaint to the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner (MHCC), it will be dealt with by one of our friendly Resolutions officers. We know it takes courage to speak up and we will provide you with a safe and supportive space where we listen to you with respect.

When you contact us, we will talk to you about the options that are available, such as:

  • helping you raise your concerns directly with the Victorian public mental health service
  • working with you and the service to resolve your concerns
  • other options if we are unable to help.

The MHCC is impartial, confidential and free to use. You determine how and at what pace you would like to take part in our processes. Visit our organisational principles and Driven by lived experience framework and strategy to find out more about our approach.
